COVID-19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

As the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to evolve we wanted to share with you some important information about the steps we are taking to minimise the risk of exposure in our community.

Our greatest priority at this time is the health and safety of all our team members and our patients.

We are taking extra measures to ensure our clinic is a clean and hygienic environment for everyone.

These measures include increasing the frequency of sanitising our reception, waiting areas, consult suites, hand rails and door handles.

We have temporarily removed all toys and books from our consult suites and waiting areas.

We are actively following all health and travel advice issued by the Australian Government.

If you have an appointment at Eton Place and have any symptoms, runny nose, fever or cough, or have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days or have been in contact with someone who has a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) please contact the clinic on 3736 1268.

COVID-19 Telehealth Information

As of 30 March 2020, as part of the Australian Government’s response to COVID-19, patients are able to access telehealth appointments with their doctors, specialists and allied health professionals.

The temporary MBS telehealth items allow people to access essential Medicare funded health services in their homes and reduce their risk of exposure to COVID-19 within the community.

Videoconference services are the preferred approach for substituting a face-to-face consultation. However, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providers will also be able to offer audio-only services via telephone if video is not available.

Eton Place can offer appointments via Zoom, Skype, Facetime or phone call.

If you are feeling unwell and need to change your appointment to a telehealth appointment, please contact reception on 07 3736 1268. Reception will send you a consent form to be completed prior to your telehealth appointment. Once you have completed your telehealth appointment, reception will contact you to take payment over the phone.
