As of 30 March 2020, as part of the Australian Government’s response to COVID-19, patients are able to access telehealth appointments with their doctors, specialists and allied health professionals.
The temporary MBS telehealth items allow people to access essential Medicare funded health services in their homes and reduce their risk of exposure to COVID-19 within the community.
Videoconference services are the preferred approach for substituting a face-to-face consultation. However, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providers will also be able to offer audio-only services via telephone if video is not available.
Eton Place can offer appointments via Zoom, Skype, Facetime or phone call.
If you are feeling unwell and need to change your appointment to a telehealth appointment, please contact reception on 07 3736 1268. Reception will send you a consent form to be completed prior to your telehealth appointment. Once you have completed your telehealth appointment, reception will contact you to take payment over the phone. For further queries regarding the cost of telehealth appointments, please contact the clinic.
