Fiona Jamieson is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist who has held Senior Clinical Psychology positions with Child Youth Mental Health Services in both Queensland and New South Wales. She is an experienced clinical supervisor and regularly consults for the Family Court both as a family assessor and expert witness. She is very passionate about helping young people and families develop the skills needed to overcome the most adverse challenges using evidence-based treatments. Fiona provides a friendly, warm and playful environment to empower young people and their families to develop the skills needed to manage current and future difficulties.
Children adolescents and young adults: Fiona treats all aspects of child and youth mental health. Her special interests are gender dysphoria, self-harm, ADHD, anxiety and behavioural concerns. She treats concerns related to the caregiver-child relationship including grief and loss, family conflict and family separation and divorce.
Adults: Fiona’s practice with adults is focused on the caregiver-child relationship with expertise in helping caregivers manage and respond to the needs of their child through all stages of development. This includes difficulties during the prenatal and postnatal periods including perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety, trauma associated with other pregnancies, abortion and adoption, life stages and timing of pregnancy, and feelings associated with either a planned or unplanned pregnancy.
